How to Get Here

Kuala Kurau is easiest to reach by car, and the drive is a pleasant one whichever way you come.

From Penang

Take Old Road 1 to Bagan Serai, then Road 75 straight into Kuala Kurau town.

Coming down the E1 highway instead, the nearest exit is Bandar Baharu. From there head to Parit Buntar, then south to Bagan Serai to pick up Road 75.

From Taiping, Ipoh or Kuala Lumpur

Exit at the Taiping Utara toll and carry on to Simpang Empat Semanggol. Turn left onto the A100, which brings you into Kuala Kurau from the south.

Coming this way you can stop at Kuala Gula or Bagan Seberang before crossing the bridge into town, which is worth building into the trip.

By bicycle

The ride from Penang takes under two hours. Stay on the coastal road and leave Old Road 1 as early as you can.
