Sunrise

Set an early alarm while you are here. It is worth it.

Step out into the back garden just before dawn and the paddy fields are still under mist. Birds start up first, then the light comes across the fields and turns everything gold. On a still morning the water in the sawah holds the whole sky.

There is no ticket and no schedule. Bring a coffee out, find a seat, and let the morning do the rest.
